Hello Mount Peter Race Club Families,

Did you know that a few ski areas in Maine were blowing snow this week!!!!  It must be that time of year again to turn our attention to ski racing!

Did you also know that the Mount Peter Race Team Parent Meeting is only 30 days away?  And that the season-opening Okemo trip is only three months away?  These are just two of the MANY important dates that require your attention.  Please take a few minutes now to review the important dates and deadlines below.  And of course, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

September 30 -- 6:00 pm -- 9:00 pm -- Racer Night at Ski Barn in Paramus, NJ.  All major ski equipment vendors and Mount Peter coaches are on hand to help with equipment needs for the upcoming season.  Our coaches take the time to attend this important event to help match equipment with each individual racer.  And best of all -- the prices are unbeatable.  This is truly the time and place to get set with ski racing equipment for the upcoming season!

October 2 -- Dryland Training - Free Team Trial Session - Dryland training begins at Velocity Sports Performance in Mahwah, NJ - 10/2 is the free Trial Session and 10/7 is when Dryland Training officially begins.  See flyer attached and don’t miss this incredible opportunity to get in shape for this race season - new for this year is a parents group.

October 6 -- 25th Annual Warwick Applefest.  The Mount Peter Race Club is participating in this year's Applefest.  Mark Mierop, Head Coach for Dynamites, is coordinating our Club's participation this year.  Please contact Mark directly at mmerps@aol.com to volunteer to help at Applefest.  We earn funds at this event by helping Applefest set up vendor booths, providing information throughout the day, cleaning up, selling waters and sodas, and conducting a raffle.  This event is an important fundraiser for the Club and we ask all parents and racers to participate.  Additional information about Applefest can be found at:  http://www.warwickapplefest.com/

October 15 -- Deadline to renew USSA and NJSRA membership.  Avoid late fees by renewing your USSA membership online at www.ussa.org.

October 18th & 19th -- Mount Peter Ski Swap and Ski Barn Annual Tent Sale at Mount Peter.  Great deals on new and used ski equipment.  Also a great time to sell equipment that no longer fits your growing racer!  Details available at www.mtpeter.com.

October 23 -- 7:00 PM -- Mount Peter Race Team Parent Meeting in Sunrise Lodge.  This is the annual Race Program parent meeting hosted by Race Director Rob Dowd.  Assistant Race Director Phil Godwin, Race Administrator Kelly Cossano, and the coaching staff will also be on hand.  One parent from each participant will need to attend this important meeting.  For more information, please see "2014 - 2015 Mount Peter Race Letter" at http://www.mtpeter.com/PDFgallery.htm.
